Luau Sale Makes for Festive CAA Car Sale
July 19, 2017 -- WILLIAMSTON, SOUTH CAROLINA --
Carolina Auto Auction wrapped up its six week long Luau Sales Event Wednesday in style! The summer event was a huge success with over 600 dealers in attendance and 1200+ vehicles consigned during the July 19th finale which gave dealers a chance to win $10,000 in absolute cash, a giant tiki bar with accessories, or one of several weekly prizes. There was a live steel drum band, free breakfast, and special deals from floorplan companies and vendors.
To give away the cash, Carolina Auto Auction froze 5 t-shirts in a solid block of ice. Five dealers were chosen, each collecting $1000, but also competing for a chance to win an additional $5000 for whoever could break the ice and put on their t-shirt first. The big cash winner was Mark Smith with Smith Auto Sales, and Mike Hughes from Pro-Line Motor Company won the giant Tiki bar with accessories valued at $7500.
As part of the festivities, Carolina Auto Auction hosted its weekly Dealer of the Week – with Kline Matthews from Casey Jackson Ford as the week’s featured dealer who received a free parking place for the day and free lunch, along with a chance to win several hundred dollars playing the auction’s Lucky Kahuna early bird game. Every week CAA features a different Dealer of the Week to honor its independent dealers. Also during the Luau sales event the auction hosted a blood drive, where many employees and dealers lined up to give blood through the Blood Connection.
On week 5 of the event, CAA held a kickoff sale for its newest consignor- US Bank. This large national account adds another impressive piece to an already stellar portfolio of commercial accounts that Carolina runs every month as part of its weekly 500-600 fleet lease consignment in its 3 commercial lanes.
Carolina Auto Auction’s next major sale is just around the corner with a four-week Hog Roast and Car Sale event scheduled from August 2nd – August 23rd, where dealers can win weekly 3-in-1 grill giveaways and get free t-shirts and a giant pig-pickin’ brunch.
